A couple of questions before beginning the installation of X5
.
- Do you have all of your needed files backed up?
- Are you comfortable or able to use the Web installed or would you prefer to wait for the DVD?
- Are you running 64bit SolidWorks or 32 bit SolidWorks
Installation:
MCfSW X5 MU1 installs on top of MCfSW X5. The update will use the same registry keys as the MCfSW X5. However, it will replace the "Mastercam for SolidWorks X5" entry in Add/Remove Programs / Program and Features, with “Mastercam for SolidWorks MU1” or “Mastercam for SolidWorks – x64 MU1”, depending on your OS version.
- Download and install the appropriate MU1 update for your Operating System

Step 1 After downloading "Run" the .exe
Step 2: Click next to install MU1
Step 3: Click Finish and your done.
