SFA Tech Tip

Mastercam C Axis Drill vs. Cross Drill

There are two paths for Lathe which drill across the part’s axis of rotation, C Axis Drill and Cross Drill. How do you decide which to use?

C Axis drill always cuts perpendicular to the part rotation center. If a feature is off center, use Cross Drill.
