The Mastercam Feature Seminars are a great success and our customers want more, so we've added more dates. We also added new Seminars such as 2D - HST (High Speed Toolpaths), 3D - HST (High Speed Toolpaths) & Transform Toolpath.

Along with our WCS & FBM overviews we are pleased to announce High Speed Toolpath as one of our new Feature Seminars. The HST seminar will give a good overview of the specific 2D and 3D toolpaths that now come with Mastercam X3.

Cimco Edit 5.5 is available to download

Cimco Edit 5.5 is available for download, this version has many updates to the past release of 5.1. You must be on current Cimco Maintenance to be able to download this version.

To download open your Cimco Editor and from the Help menu select "Download Latest Version" this will take you through a step by step process of downloading the latest version. Or click here and follow the installation process, doing it this way asks you for some information.

Some of the new features in 5.5

  • Handling of even the largest CNC programs - fast. Limited only by the amount of memory on your PC.

  • CNC code specific functions including line numbering/renumbering, character handling, XYZ range finder, and more...

  • File Type Specific Configurations (NEW in v5.5) - offers a range of options including modal colors, new "type" specific numbering/renumbering options, auto registration of extensions, and more...

  • Math functions including basic math, rotate, mirror, tool compensation, and translate.

  • Reliable, configurable DNC RS232 communications. NOTE: With CIMCO Edit you can send and receive to one CNC machine at a time.

  • Side-by-Side File Compare (ENHANCED in v5.5) - our file compare is fast and fully configurable allowing users to choose whether to view differences one line/section at a time or all at once. Our file compare even supports side-by-side printing for offline review.

  • Excellent 3D Mill / 2D Lathe Open-GL Back Plotter (ENHANCED in v5.5) - plot your 3-Axis Mill and 2-Axis Lathe CNC programs inside CIMCO Edit with step and continuous forward and reverse synchronized plotting.

  • NC-Assistant (ENHANCED in v5.5) - move the cursor to any M or G code and the NC-Assistant will identify the code and allow you to modify values using an interactive interface.

  • Cycle/Macro Support (ENHANCED in v5.5) - cycle/macro support allows users to quickly add/edit complex cycles and operations.
